Water Restoration Services

When water finds its way into your home or business, it can do severe damage and affect your building from the inside out. Structural damage worsens with time. If porous, the materials will soak up the water and moisture. Within hours, if not minutes, water absorption results in discoloration, swelling, adhesive release, de-lamination, warping and splitting of building materials and contents. Within a day or two, that effect worsens. This damage is called "primary damage".

Secondary Damage is caused as the water evaporates and humidity increases causing vapor pressure. Vapor pressure is the force vapors exert on its surrounding environment. This ongoing damage is found in ceilings, walls and contents. It is secondary damage that causes the extent of the loss to increase with each passing hour.

Each restoration is different, but the professional restorers at K-tech will use formal education and highly accurate instruments to measure the moisture in the air, structure and its contents. These levels will then be closely monitored throughout the restoration process. Drying is complete when the moisture content of building materials such as wood, drywall and plaster, etc. has returned to normal conditions.
